Prom chauffeur service in Chicago is a safety product first and a photo opportunity second. Every prom reservation carries a background-checked chauffeur, an adult of record on the booking, a written no-alcohol policy, and a phone number that a parent can call at any point during the night.

We run prom across Chicagoland every April and May, from Whitney Young and Lane Tech in the city out to Naperville North, Hinsdale Central, New Trier, Oak Park and River Forest, Sandburg in Orland Park and Fenwick. The routing question is always the same: dinner, photos, venue, after-party, home. We handle all five, with the same chauffeur.

Safety First, Then the Night

What Every Chicago Prom Booking Includes

Everything a parent needs to sign off, and everything a student wants to remember.

Background-Checked Chauffeurs

Every chauffeur is commercially licensed, background checked and drug tested. They stay with the vehicle all night and do not leave the group unattended.

Written No-Alcohol Policy

No alcohol, no vaping, no controlled substances, no exceptions. The chauffeur ends the booking and contacts the adult of record if the policy is broken.

Parent Contact Protocol

An adult of record is named on every prom reservation and receives the chauffeur's name, vehicle, plate and direct number before the night begins.

A Fixed Itinerary

Dinner, photos, venue, after-party, home. Stops are agreed in advance with the adult of record and the chauffeur does not add destinations on request.

The Vehicle They Wanted

Stretch limousine with fiber-optic lighting and a sound system, or a fourteen-passenger Sprinter that keeps the whole group in one place.

Held All Night

Hourly service means the car waits outside the venue. Nobody arranges a ride home at midnight, and no student gets in a stranger's vehicle.

How It Works

How a Chicago Prom Night Is Booked

An adult books it. The students enjoy it. Everybody knows the plan.

An Adult Reserves

A parent or guardian is named as the adult of record, provides a contact number, and confirms the itinerary and the group size.

Confirm the Itinerary

Pickup addresses, the dinner reservation, the photo stop, the venue and the return. The chauffeur receives the same document you do.

Meet the Chauffeur

Name, photo, vehicle and plate sent to the adult of record before pickup. The chauffeur introduces themselves at the first address.

Ride, Then Home

The car waits at every stop. At the end of the night each student is returned to the address on file, not to a corner.

The Chicago Prom Route

Dinner, Photos, Venue, Home. In That Order.

Chicago prom nights follow a predictable arc, and that predictability is the safety feature. Group pickup at one or two addresses. Dinner, usually downtown or in the group's own suburb. Photographs at Millennium Park, the Riverwalk, Buckingham Fountain or the Adler lakefront path. The venue. Then home.

Our chauffeurs are given that itinerary in writing and do not deviate from it. If a student asks to be dropped somewhere that is not on the sheet, the answer is a phone call to the adult of record.

That sounds strict because it is. It is also why the same Chicago families book us for a younger sibling three years later.

  • Millennium Park, Cloud Gate and Buckingham Fountain photo stops
  • The Chicago Riverwalk and Adler Planetarium skyline views
  • Downtown and suburban dinner reservations, with the car waiting
  • Direct return to each student's home address at the end of the night

Chicagoland Prom Season

Where We Drive Prom Every April and May

City and suburban schools, and the venues and photo stops in between.

Chicago Public High Schools

Whitney Young, Lane Tech, Northside College Prep, Jones and Payton. Downtown venues, short runs, tight loading zones.

DuPage and the West Suburbs

Naperville North and Central, Hinsdale Central, Wheaton North and Warrenville. Long suburban drives to downtown venues.

North Shore Schools

New Trier, Evanston Township, Glenbrook and Lake Forest. The Edens is the whole route, and it is worse than it looks on a Saturday.

Southwest Suburbs

Sandburg in Orland Park, Lincoln-Way, Marist and Brother Rice. Most groups head downtown, some stay along the I-355 corridor.

Dinner Before the Dance

Downtown steakhouses, Greektown, Little Italy and the group's own suburb. The car waits, so the reservation time is the only clock.

Venues and After-Parties

Hotel ballrooms, Navy Pier, the Field Museum and suburban banquet halls. After-parties only if they are on the agreed itinerary.

Why Chicago Books Us

Why Chicago Parents Book Us

Six answers to the questions parents actually ask.

Vetted, Not Just Licensed

Background checks and drug testing on every chauffeur, not a self-reported form. Certificates of insurance available on request.

The Policy Is Enforced

No alcohol, no vaping, no substances. Our chauffeurs end bookings over this, and have. It is not a paragraph in a terms page.

You Are In the Loop

The adult of record receives the chauffeur's details before pickup and a call if anything changes. You do not have to text your kid for updates.

No Improvised Stops

The itinerary is agreed in advance. A request to go somewhere else results in a phone call to you, not a detour.

Nobody Rides Home With a Stranger

Hourly service means the car is outside the venue when the night ends and every student is driven to the address on file.

No Surge on Prom Night

Rideshare pricing on a Saturday in May at 11:30 PM is exactly what you would expect. Our hourly rate was set when you booked.

Common Questions

Chicago Prom Chauffeur Service FAQs

For parents, students and anyone organizing a group.

How much does a prom limousine cost in Chicago?

Prom transportation in Chicago is booked hourly. A Lincoln stretch limousine and a fourteen-passenger Mercedes-Benz Sprinter both start at $140 per hour, a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator at $95 per hour and a GMC Yukon XL at $92. Prom bookings carry a minimum number of hours. Split across a full vehicle, the per-student cost is usually lower than families expect, and it is fixed at booking rather than exposed to surge pricing at 11:30 on a Saturday night in May.

Who has to book the reservation, a parent or a student?

An adult of record, meaning a parent or guardian, must be named on every prom reservation and must provide a contact number. Students may plan the night and choose the vehicle, but the reservation, the itinerary and the payment sit with an adult. That adult receives the chauffeur's name, photo, vehicle and license plate before pickup, along with the written itinerary, and is the person the chauffeur calls if anything at all departs from the plan.

What is your policy on alcohol and vaping?

There is none permitted, at all, and the chauffeur enforces it. No alcohol, no vaping, no controlled substances in the vehicle, regardless of what any passenger says about their age. If the policy is broken, the chauffeur stops the booking, contacts the adult of record and, if necessary, returns the group home. There is no refund in that circumstance. We say this plainly at booking because it is the reason a lot of Chicago families choose us.

Can the chauffeur take the group to an after-party?

Only if the after-party is on the written itinerary agreed by the adult of record before the night begins. Our chauffeurs do not add destinations on a student's request. If the group asks to go somewhere that is not on the sheet, the chauffeur calls the adult of record and follows their instruction. At the end of the night, every student is returned to the home address listed on the reservation, not dropped at an intersection or a friend's block.

How many students fit in each vehicle?

A Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator seats up to six comfortably, and a GMC Yukon XL or Ford Expedition seats seven with real third-row legroom. The Lincoln stretch limousine seats up to ten in wraparound leather with fiber-optic lighting and a sound system. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van seats up to fourteen with a stand-up cabin, which keeps a large group together in one vehicle rather than convoying. Groups above fourteen book two vehicles on one reservation.

When should we book prom transportation in Chicago?

As soon as your school announces the date. April and May Saturdays are the most compressed inventory of the year, and the stretch limousine is always the first vehicle to sell out. Chicagoland has hundreds of high schools running proms across roughly six weekends, and the entire regional fleet books against them. Reserve two to four months out for a Saturday. Weeknight and Friday events are usually available closer in.

Do you serve suburban high schools as well as Chicago schools?

Yes, across the whole region. We run prom for schools in the city, in Naperville, Hinsdale, Wheaton, Oak Park, Evanston, Lake Forest, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg and Orland Park, among many others. Suburban groups usually travel downtown for dinner, photographs and the venue, which means an hour of driving before the night has really begun. Hourly service is the right format for that, because the car waits rather than being rebooked at each stop.

What if the night runs longer than the hours we booked?

Tell the chauffeur, who will call the adult of record for approval. Additional time is billed at the same hourly rate in defined increments with no penalty rate. Because the vehicle is assigned to your reservation, extensions are usually possible, but on a peak prom Saturday the vehicle may be committed to another group immediately after yours. If that is the case we tell you at booking so you can add the hours in advance rather than discover the limit at midnight.

A Parent's Guide to Chicago Prom Transportation

What to Ask Any Chicago Limousine Company Before Prom

Ask whether chauffeurs are background checked and drug tested, and ask for it in writing. Ask for a certificate of insurance showing commercial liability limits, because a personal auto policy with a rideshare endorsement is not the same instrument. Ask whether the company holds a valid Illinois commercial carrier authority.

Then ask the operational questions that determine what actually happens on the night. Is there a written alcohol policy and who enforces it? Is an adult named on the reservation? Will the chauffeur add stops at a student's request? Where is each student returned at the end of the night? Is there a number a parent can call at 11 PM? Our answers are yes, yes, no, to the address on file, and yes.

Why Hourly Is the Only Safe Format for Prom

A point-to-point booking drops the group at the venue and leaves. Whatever happens at 11:40 PM is then somebody's problem to solve, usually a seventeen-year-old's, usually with a phone app, usually on a night when surge pricing is at its most enthusiastic.

Hourly service keeps the chauffeur and the vehicle with the group for the entire night. The car is outside the venue when the dance ends. Nobody negotiates a ride. Nobody splits up. Nobody gets into a stranger's vehicle. The vehicle then runs the return route through each student's home address. The cost difference between the two formats is small. The difference in what can go wrong is not.

Choosing Between a Stretch Limousine and a Sprinter Van

The Lincoln stretch limousine is the vehicle prom photographs are built around. It seats ten in wraparound leather, has fiber-optic cabin lighting, a sound system and a bar console we serve with ice and water only. It is hourly-only and it is the first thing to sell out in April.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van seats fourteen, has a stand-up cabin so dresses and hair survive the drive, and keeps a larger group in a single vehicle rather than a two-car convoy that arrives fifteen minutes apart. For groups over ten, it is the better answer, and many Chicago groups now prefer it outright. Groups above fourteen book two vehicles under one reservation, coordinated by dispatch.

Chicago Prom Season and the Booking Calendar

Chicagoland prom season runs across roughly six Saturdays in April and May, and the entire region's limousine and van inventory is spoken for during them. Every high school in Cook, DuPage, Lake and Will County is competing for the same fleet on the same handful of nights.

Book the moment your school publishes the date. Rates do not rise during prom season here, which is a deliberate policy rather than a promotion, but availability collapses. If your group is over ten people, book earlier still, because Sprinter vans and stretch limousines are the two vehicle classes that go first and the two that a large group actually needs.
