O'Hare chauffeur service starts at $95 flat from downtown Chicago and includes live flight tracking, luggage handling and a chauffeur who is positioned before your aircraft touches down. ORD moves more than eighty million passengers a year across four active terminals, and none of them reward improvisation at 5 AM.

We meet at the curb of Terminal 1, 2, 3 or 5, or inside baggage claim with a name board if you prefer. What we never do is send you to the Multi-Modal Facility, which is where rideshare passengers go: a ten to fifteen minute walk plus an Airport Transit System ride from where your bags come off the belt.

What Is Included on Every O'Hare Pickup

The airport is complicated. The reservation is not.

Aircraft-Level Flight Tracking

We follow your tail number from pushback at the origin airport. Early, late or diverted, the pickup recalculates and the chauffeur is redeployed.

Baggage Claim Meet and Greet

Your chauffeur parks, walks in, holds a name board at the carousel and carries the luggage out. Available at all four O'Hare terminals.

Sixty Minutes Free at T5

International arrivals clear customs in Terminal 5, which takes thirty to ninety minutes. Your free wait time starts at wheels-down, not at the scheduled arrival.

Curbside at Any Terminal

The default. Your chauffeur texts the exact door number as you clear the concourse and pulls up. No ATS, no MMF, no walk.

Flat Rate, Locked

Snow on the Kennedy, an AHA convention filling every hotel, a Sunday-night arrival wave. Your fare was set when you booked.

Real Luggage Capacity

Our SUVs seat six or seven and still take a full set of checked bags. The Sprinter takes fourteen passengers and fourteen bags.

How It Works

How an O'Hare Pickup Actually Works

Four steps, three of which happen without you.

Send the Flight Number

Airline, flight number, terminal and passenger count. That is the whole reservation. We work out the rest from the tail number.

We Watch the Aircraft

Dispatch tracks your flight from pushback. If you are ninety minutes late into Terminal 3, the chauffeur is redeployed automatically.

Choose Curb or Claim

Curbside by default, with a text giving the door number. Or meet and greet inside baggage claim with a name board, which we recommend for T5.

Bags In, One Flat Charge

Your chauffeur loads the luggage. The route is chosen live off the Kennedy. One flat charge, no tolls line, no fuel line, no meter.

The Terminals, Explained

Which O'Hare Terminal Are You Actually In

Terminal 1 is United's hub, Concourses B and C. Terminal 2 is the smallest and serves a rotating mix including Air Canada, Alaska and JetBlue; it connects to Terminal 1 on foot. Terminal 3 is American's hub and the second-largest domestic terminal, with concourses G, H, K and L and enough walking distance to matter.

Terminal 5 is the international terminal. Most arrivals from Asia, Europe and South America clear customs there, and baggage claim sits after customs, which means you do not appear ground-side until clearance is complete. That is why flight tracking alone is insufficient at T5 and why meet and greet is worth booking.

The Global Terminal that will eventually replace Terminal 2 is under construction as part of ORDNext and is not open. Concourse D, the first major new concourse in over thirty years, is being built now. Signage and curb geometry move accordingly, and our chauffeurs are briefed on it.

  • Terminal 1: United, Concourses B and C
  • Terminal 2: Air Canada, Alaska, JetBlue and others, walkable to T1
  • Terminal 3: American hub, plus Delta, Air France and KLM
  • Terminal 5: international arrivals and customs, meet and greet recommended

Rideshare vs Chauffeur at ORD

Rideshare Passengers Walk to the Multi-Modal Facility. You Do Not.

O'Hare routes rideshare pickups to the MMF, reached by the Airport Transit System from any terminal. Add ten to fifteen minutes at the end of a red-eye, with checked bags, in February. Private chauffeur pickups stay at the terminal curb.

  • Curbside pickup at the arrivals level of every ORD terminal
  • Meet and greet inside baggage claim with a name board
  • No walk to the Multi-Modal Facility and no Airport Transit System ride
  • No surge multiplier during storms, conventions or Sunday arrival waves

O'Hare Ground Truth

Six Things Worth Knowing Before You Land at ORD

Operational detail that changes how your pickup should be booked.

Customs at Terminal 5 Is the Variable

Clearance runs thirty to ninety minutes depending on the flight and the hour. Baggage claim sits after customs, so you do not appear ground-side until you are through.

Terminal 2 Walks to Terminal 1

If your itinerary shifts you between T1 and T2, the walk is five to ten minutes on a pedestrian bridge. Do not book a new car for it.

The Global Terminal Is Not Open

ORDNext is building Concourse D now and a Calatrava-designed Global Terminal will replace Terminal 2 in the 2030s. Curbs and signage move during construction.

The Kennedy Reverses Twice a Day

Inbound congestion peaks in the morning, outbound in the late afternoon. An 8 AM O'Hare departure from the Loop and a 4:30 PM one are different trips.

Rosemont Is Two Miles Away

The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and the Rosemont hotel cluster sit minutes from the airfield. Transfers start at $75.

Diversions Happen

Chicago weather diverts flights to Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Rockford several times a winter. Call one number and a person handles it.

Why Chicago Books Us

Why Book a Chauffeur for O'Hare

Six reasons ORD is the wrong airport to improvise at.

Positioned Before You Land

The vehicle is staged against your actual touchdown time. Nothing about your pickup begins when you open an app in the concourse.

No Surge, No Airport Fee

The rate was locked at booking. There is no O'Hare access surcharge added afterward and no multiplier when a hundred flights land at once.

Meet and Greet That Means Something

A chauffeur inside baggage claim with a name board, who takes your bags. Particularly valuable at Terminal 5 after a nine-hour flight.

Chicago Winters Are Scheduled

Winter-equipped vehicles and chauffeurs who drive the Kennedy in a whiteout every February. Your fare does not change because it snowed.

One Receipt

Flat charge, itemized once, accepted by any expense system. Corporate accounts consolidate every O'Hare run onto a single monthly invoice.

Child Seats and Real Luggage

Rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats installed before pickup. Seven seats and seven bags in the Yukon XL, no lap luggage.

Common Questions

O'Hare Chauffeur Service FAQs

Everything travelers ask about chauffeured ground transportation at ORD.

How much is a chauffeured car from O'Hare to downtown Chicago?

A flat rate from O'Hare to downtown Chicago starts at $90 in a Ford Expedition and $95 in a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator, covering the roughly eighteen-mile run down the Kennedy. A fourteen-passenger Mercedes-Benz Sprinter starts at $165. The rate includes the chauffeur, fuel, tolls, luggage handling and flight tracking. Illinois taxes and gratuity are added at booking. There is no O'Hare access fee, no fuel surcharge and no surge multiplier at any hour or in any weather.

Where does my chauffeur meet me at O'Hare?

By default at the arrivals-level curb of your terminal, with a text giving the exact door number once you land. If you book meet and greet, your chauffeur parks, walks in, waits inside baggage claim holding a name board, and carries your luggage out. Meet and greet is available at Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5, and we strongly recommend it for Terminal 5 international arrivals where customs clearance timing is genuinely unpredictable.

Do you use the O'Hare rideshare Multi-Modal Facility?

No, and that is one of the clearest advantages of a chauffeured pickup at ORD. Rideshare passengers are routed to the Multi-Modal Facility, which requires a ten to fifteen minute walk from baggage claim plus a ride on the Airport Transit System people mover. Private car and limousine pickups stay at the terminal curb, or the chauffeur meets you inside baggage claim. After a long flight with checked bags, that difference is the entire arrival experience.

How long will you wait if my flight is delayed?

Sixty minutes of complimentary wait time on international arrivals and thirty minutes on domestic, measured from actual wheels-down rather than the scheduled arrival on your ticket. Because dispatch tracks the aircraft from pushback at its origin, a delayed flight simply moves your pickup time and the chauffeur is redeployed. You do not need to call or update anything. If the delay is extreme we will contact you rather than the other way around.

Which O'Hare terminal should I give when booking?

Give the terminal shown on your boarding pass on the day of travel, because airline-to-terminal assignments change. Terminal 1 is United. Terminal 3 is American, plus Delta, Air France and KLM. Terminal 2 handles a rotating mix including Air Canada, Alaska and JetBlue, and connects to Terminal 1 by a short pedestrian walkway. Terminal 5 handles most international arrivals and all customs clearance. If your terminal changes at the last minute, text your chauffeur.

Is O'Hare construction affecting pickups right now?

Yes, in the sense that curbs and signage move. O'Hare 21 and its ORDNext phase are the largest terminal expansion in the airport's history. Terminal 5's expansion is complete. Concourse D, the first major new concourse in more than thirty years, is under construction. The Calatrava-designed Global Terminal that will replace Terminal 2 has slipped into the 2030s. Our chauffeurs are briefed on the current curb layout, which is one less thing you have to track.

Can you pick up from a private jet FBO at O'Hare?

Yes. Give us the FBO name and the tail number rather than a flight number and we coordinate arrival directly with the line staff, positioning the vehicle as the aircraft comes off the runway. We do the same at Signature and Atlantic Aviation at Midway, and at the FBOs serving Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling and DuPage Airport in West Chicago. Private aviation pickups are quoted flat, exactly like commercial airport transfers.

Do you serve the suburbs from O'Hare?

Yes, and suburban transfers are priced flat by distance rather than metered. Rosemont starts at $75, Schaumburg and Oak Brook at $105, Hinsdale at $115, Naperville at $125 and Lake Forest at $135. Evanston, Arlington Heights, Wheaton, Oak Park and Orland Park all carry published starting rates in both directions. Each of our service area pages lists that suburb's O'Hare and Midway rates alongside real drive times.

A Complete Guide to Chauffeured Transfers at O'Hare

Why O'Hare Ground Transportation Is Harder Than It Looks

O'Hare International is one of the ten busiest airports on earth, moving more than eighty million passengers a year across four active terminals connected by an Airport Transit System people mover. It sits eighteen miles northwest of the Loop and feeds entirely off the Kennedy Expressway, which congests inbound in the morning and outbound in the late afternoon.

It is also, right now, a construction site. The ORDNext program is building Concourse D, the first major new concourse in over thirty years, while a Calatrava-designed Global Terminal waits to replace Terminal 2 sometime in the next decade. Curbside geometry, signage and access roads change through it. A chauffeur who works ORD daily absorbs that; a visitor with a phone app does not.

Terminal 5 and the Customs Problem

Nearly all international arrivals at O'Hare clear customs in Terminal 5, and clearance takes anywhere from thirty to ninety minutes depending on the flight, the hour and your nationality. Baggage claim sits after customs, which means you do not become visible ground-side until the process is complete.

This is why live flight tracking, on its own, is not enough at T5. A car dispatched at wheels-down may sit for an hour. Our chauffeurs wait for the full clearance window and our complimentary international wait time is sixty minutes measured from touchdown. If you are arriving on an international red-eye, book meet and greet: your chauffeur is inside baggage claim holding a name board, takes the bags, and walks you to a vehicle at the curb.

Curbside Versus the Multi-Modal Facility

O'Hare routes all rideshare pickups to the Multi-Modal Facility, reached from any terminal via the Airport Transit System. From the moment your bags come off the belt, that is a ten to fifteen minute walk plus a train ride, before you have found the correct pillar and the correct vehicle.

Chauffeured pickups do not use it. Your car meets you at the arrivals-level curb, or your chauffeur meets you inside baggage claim. On a bright Tuesday afternoon with a carry-on, the difference is a minor convenience. At 11:40 PM in February with two checked bags and a child, it is the reason people stop using apps for airports.

Booking Around Chicago's Peak Weeks

Certain weeks fill every hotel room and every vehicle in Chicagoland, and they are all visible in advance. The Chicago Auto Show runs across February at McCormick Place. Windy City Smokeout and Taste of Chicago land together in early July, followed by Lollapalooza in Grant Park from July 30 through August 2. IMTS returns to McCormick Place in September. The Bank of America Chicago Marathon takes October. RSNA closes the year in November.

Rideshare surge multipliers at O'Hare during those weeks are exactly what you would expect. Our flat rates do not move at all, by policy. What tightens is availability, particularly on Sprinter vans for convention delegations. If you are flying into ORD on one of those weeks, reserve the vehicle when you book the flight.
